Organic cotton

100% of all our cotton products are made from either organic or recycled cotton.

Why is organic cotton better than the conventional one?

• It’s grown without chemical pesticides and fertilizers, protecting farmers and the environment.

• It requires 62% less energy to be produced (Textile Exchange report 2016).

• Overall 46% less climate impact compared to conventional cotton (Textile Exchange report 2016).

Organic cotton is grown without the use of synthetic pesticides and fertilizers, which leads to improved soil condition, lower greenhouse gas emissions, stronger biodiversity and better health among the cotton growers. Organic cotton also means 62 % less energy and 71 % less water usage on average compared to the sourcing of traditional cotton. Of the virgin cotton alternatives, organic cotton has shown the lowest environmental impacts due to non-use of synthetic pesticides and fertilizers, and the soil quality is controlled by crop rotation. None of these crops is genetically modified, it’s always third-party certified, and the fiber is kept separate from the cotton field to the finished product.

Recycled materials

Recycled materials are either left over material from production or used textiles that have been given a new life.

  • The majority of our sweatshirts are made by a mix of organic cotton and recycled polyester.
  • Our packaging, swing tags and thank-you cards are made from 100% recycled materials. We also use a company just 1 mile from our premises, cutting down the use of fuel for transportation.
  • We wanted to make sure and remain true to our ethos with regard our mailing bags, so we have teamed up with No-Issue, a sustainable packaging company to provides biodegradable mailing bags in a range of sizes that meet our customers needs. Here’s a link to their cool site https://www.noissue.co.uk
  • We have made a conscious effort to cut down on our printing waste since forming the brand. Recent investments in the latest Next-Generation DTG printers mean that from these collections forward, we commit to producing all prints using our new and innovative machinery.
